Remember, fakes don't have any warranty. Do a web search for "eBay Guides - FAKE SanDisk Extreme Compact Flash Cards Exposed".
The card turned out to be only 8GB which prompted calls to Canon and SanDisk support. I made the mistake of purchasing one of these on eBay.
Also, check out the eBay article about this issue. It turned out that SanDisk doesn't even make a 12GB card and the serial number was phony also, according to their tech support.
Before purchasing one of these, call SanDisk and verify this for yourself at 1-866-SANDISK. You'll see lots of hits.
I hope this saves others from getting ripped off.
Hard to beat a 12gb sandisk card for $124. I have both Extreme III and IVs and, III is still totally fast enough, plus if you just need a big card for backup, this is a great choice. Extremely fast shipping for seller was a total bonus.
SanDisk is the best hands down. Their Extreme lines are even better if that's possible and as a working pro, I never use anything else.A year ago, I forgot that I'd left one in my pants pocket. I then proceeded to wash and dry my pants with the card inside. I was mortified to find it after the fact and even more stunned that the card was fine and all the images inside were fine.
